Meet-Miyani/compose-skill

Compose Skill (Compose Kit): agent skills for Jetpack Compose & Compose Multiplatform. Makes Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Gemini CLI and OpenCode write better Compose: MVI, Koin, Navigation 3, Ktor, Room. Tested blind on 5 models in 120 agentic runs.

What it solves

AI coding agents often produce Jetpack Compose and Compose Multiplatform code that compiles but lacks consistency. This leads to "drift," where state management, error handling, and architectural patterns vary from file to file, making code reviews difficult and maintenance tedious.

How it works

Compose Kit provides a set of seven specialized "skills" (instruction sets and reference files) that can be installed into AI agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot. It uses a progressive loading system starting with a small entry tree (~1.3k tokens) that analyzes the task and only loads the specific reference files needed for that task, preventing context window bloat while enforcing a consistent house style.

Who it’s for

Developers using AI coding agents to build Android or Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) applications with Jetpack Compose.

Highlights

  • Comprehensive Skill Set: Covers architecture (MVI, Koin DI, Navigation 3), feature implementation, UI components, data layers (Ktor, Room, Paging 3), project setup, and platform-specific interop.
  • Agent Agnostic: Compatible with a wide range of agents including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Copilot, and Gemini CLI.
  • Performance Gains: Benchmarked across multiple models (e.g., Gemini 3.8 Flash, Sonnet 5.5) showing significant improvements in rubric scores for new features and reviews.
  • CI Integration: Includes shell guard scripts to detect architectural drift in continuous integration pipelines.
