Horizon is a GPU-accelerated terminal board that replaces traditional tabbed or tiled terminals with an infinite 2D canvas. It eliminates the need to hunt through tabs by allowing users to place, resize, and group live sessions—including shells, AI agents, and browsers—on a single, persistent surface.

How it works

Horizon organizes work into color-coded Workspaces (clusters of panels with a shared working directory) placed on an infinite Canvas. Users can pan and zoom the canvas or use a command palette to jump between panels. The system supports various Panel types, including standard shells, SSH sessions, and dedicated integrations for AI coding agents. It uses the Alacritty terminal engine for high-performance emulation and persists all layouts, history, and sessions across app restarts.
