What it solves

This project provides a set of "skills" for AI agents to interact with YouTube. It eliminates the need for complex setups like yt-dlp, headless browsers, or the Google YouTube Data API, allowing agents to reliably fetch transcripts, search for videos, and browse channel data without facing IP blocks or quota limits.

How it works

It acts as a bridge between AI agents and the TranscriptAPI. Agents install specific skills (e.g., youtube-full or transcript) using the Agent Skills format. Once installed, the agent can make API calls to retrieve video transcripts with timestamps, search for videos/channels, extract playlist contents, and resolve channel handles.
