What it solves

slide-maker automates the creation of professional, native PowerPoint (.pptx) presentations from source materials like research papers, code repositories, documents, or general topics. It solves the common issues found in AI presentation tools, such as the invention of fake statistics (hallucinations), the generation of uneditable image-based slides, and the use of rigid, non-customizable templates.

How it works

The project uses a team of specialized AI agents to handle different stages of the presentation pipeline:

• Content-planner: Reads the source material, determines the narrative arc, and ensures every number and figure is traced back to the source.
• Slide-design (Art Director): Determines the visual form, palette, typography, and layout based on the content rather than a fixed template.
• Critic: An independent agent that reviews the rendered slides for content fidelity and design flaws (e.g., cramped layouts or weak contrast) and requests fixes.
• Arbiter: Provides a second independent check for high-stakes decks to confirm the critic's findings.
• Asset-prep: Handles the technical execution of creating figure crops, equation images, and icons.

Users provide the audience, talk length, and style preferences. The system reads the material, proposes a story structure and a design plan for user approval, and then generates a native PPTX file with editable text, shapes, and charts.
