While the Wikimedia Foundation touts to the public that they plan to take a neutral stance in our organizing efforts, they have already proven that not to be the case behind the scenes. When the Foundation rejected our request for voluntary recognition this week, they immediately sent out to employees and the public statements couched in classic union-busting rhetoric, rhetoric undoubtedly provided by outrageously expensive union-avoidance law firms.

Wikimania における性的ハラスメント報告

Wikimania 2026 で複数の性的ハラスメントの申し立てが浮上し、各国支部からの公開書簡と WMF の調査開始が行われました。

7 月 26 日、Wikimedia Korea は、支援を申し出たメンバーが望まれない身体的接触と性的ハラスメントを受けた事例を記した公開書簡を発表し、深い遺憾と衝撃を表明しました。

翌日、Wikimedia Malaysia は、同会議で別のメンバーも性的ハラスメントを受けたとし、これは単発事例ではなく、別のメンバーが提出した Trust and Safety への苦情でもあると述べました。
