What it solves

AionUi is a "Cowork" platform that transforms AI from a simple chat interface into an active collaborator. It solves the limitation of traditional AI chat clients by allowing AI agents to operate directly on your local files, execute multi-step autonomous tasks, and run scheduled automations without manual intervention.

How it works

It provides a unified interface and agent engine that can be powered by various LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, local models via Ollama/LM Studio, etc.). AionUi can either use its own built-in agent engine or auto-detect and integrate existing CLI agents like Claude Code or Codex. It utilizes a skill-based system (built-in, custom, and extension skills) and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to give agents the ability to read/write files, search the web, and generate professional documents.
